OVERVIEW

Working at Songstats, I had the amazing opportunity to collaborate on their innovative projects within the music industry data analytics sector. Playlistcheck emerged as a side project envisioned to complement the Songstats family. I was assigned the task of transforming this concept into a robust project by designing both a creative and informative overview page as well as a landing page. My goal was to develop these elements with a distinct and intuitive interface that maintained a unique identity while ensuring seamless integration with the broader Songstats aesthetic.

My Tasks

Quick UX Revisions: Enhanced the general design quality with rapid, focused changes.
UX/UI Design: Directed the entire UX/UI design process from concept to implementation.
Implementable Proposals: Develop proposals that were both creative and easy to execute.
Project Follow-Up and Revisions: Continuously monitored project progress and implemented iterative revisions.

Cutting Through the Noise

Many Spotify playlist analytics services complicate the user experience by presenting dense interfaces and excessive data. This complexity underscores a significant market gap: the need for a straightforward, accessible approach to understanding playlist data. Playlistcheck responds to this need by prioritizing clarity and simplicity, offering straightforward insights that eliminate noise and enable users to understand their playlists effortlessly.

EXPLORATION PHASE

Playlistcheck centralizes all essential data on a dashboard , enabling quick and easy access to insights without the need for extra navigation.

By designing the page as a hub, is avoided overwhelming users with lengthy text lists, instead presenting information in a dynamic and engaging format that users already trust. My goal was to maintain consistent performance across all devices for a seamless user experience.

Visual Identity: It's All About the Cards

The effectiveness of the dashboard is closely linked to its design elements. I focused on creating the most efficient design quickly and making it easy for our development team to implement.

By quickly redesigning and updating the cards familiar from Songstats, making new graphics and refining the color palette, I ensured that Playlistcheck not only stands out with a clear and engaging interface but also streamlined the implementation process and making it both fun and efficient for users to explore.

The dashboard is crafted to be easily comprehensible, with a clean and straightforward layout. For users desiring more depth, clicking on the cards or on the “Info” icons adjacent to each graphic we offer detailed explanations.

This design approach makes Playlistcheck accessible to users of varying expertise levels, enhancing engagement with high-quality graphics that facilitate intuitive data interaction.

Having the chance to collaborate at Songstats has been invaluable, enhancing my decision-making skills and understanding of rapid product development.

As a UX/UI designer, my contributions were meaningful in making complex data analytics accessible and engaging, with the goal of firmly positioning Playlistcheck as a top choice in its category.
